Forres
Famous for its pretty parks and gardens, Forres is a regular medal-winner for its stunning floral sculptures. The Sueno Stone, a 1000-year old sculptured stone, is also worth seeing.
Visitors can enjoy a tour of Speyside’s smallest distillery, Benromach – proof that small is beautiful! Nearby, just south of Forres you can also visit historic Distillery Dallas Dhu, a disused distillery maintained in working order by Historic Scotland.
Also not to be missed is beautiful Brodie Castle, or take a trip out to Findhorn Bay on the Moray Firth with its stunning pebbled beach. There you can spot seals and if you're lucky dolphins. You can also get a taste of eco living at the Findhorn Foundation, an experimental community dedicated to exploring alternative lifestyles that work! Not forgetting a trip to Findhorn village and beach for excellent sea food and long walks watching the seals, and boats.
