Mates of the Whisky Museum Spring Mating
The Spring Mating is an opportunity for Mates of the Museum to get together and enjoy a few canapés and a dram or 2 as a prelude to the Whisky Festival. This event is free to all Mates and if you would like to join the Mates of the Whisky Museum please book a place for the event and the organisers will get in touch. The annual membership is £10.00.
For potential new Mates, The Whisky Museum was the focal point for events during the Whisky Festival. The Museum project was the brainchild of Dufftown 2000. The project was launched back in 1999 and a small but successful Whisky Museum was opened in 2003. Many of the exhibits are from the Dufftown Distilleries together with some illicit stills on loan from Customs and Excise. The lease ran out and Dufftown 2000 were not able to renew the lease. The good news is that we have identified new premises in Dufftown and the team are working hard to secure a New Museum before the Whisky Festival.
All funds raised by the Mates goes towards the fighting fund to buy suitable new premises for the Whisky Museum.
